Promoting nourishment lifestyle for vitality: empowering communities through integrated health behavior analysis

Nourishment lifestyle and vitality (NLV) is a practical approach to healthy living that highlights the crucial role of nutrition in enduring good health and a high quality of life. This study aimed to explore the impact of food safety knowledge (FSK), food marketing and promotions (FMP), cultural nuances (CN), and socioeconomic status (SES) on the NLV of individuals, which may assist in understanding the main drivers and barriers to healthy and nutritious dietary habits. Data collected through a questionnaire survey of 415 randomly selected respondents were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine the causal relationships between different variables. The findings revealed that FSK (β = 0.645), FMP (β = 0.375), CN (β = 0.395), and SES (β = 0.593) had significant impacts on NLV. The f2 and Q2 values for each variable indicated that the impact of FSK, FMP, CN, and SES on NLV was practically and predictively significant. Culturally sensitive education programs to enhance food safety knowledge among diverse cultures and communities, rigorous monitoring and control of food-related marketing and promotions, especially those targeting vulnerable groups, and community engagement through initiatives such as farmers’ markets and community gardens may foster sustainable improvements in nourishment lifestyle and vitality.
