The evolution of Translation (Studies) in the Technocene

The experiences and reflections of translation studies scholars offer a privileged vantage point from which to interpret the technology-driven social changes brought about by GenAI that, as citizens, we are all trying to take in and adjust to. This special issue presents a reflection on the developments in translation (studies) as a case in point, offering our collective experience in dealing with the Technocene to other professional and expert fields, including the more creative and the more specialized ones, so that they can prepare for the next more or less predictable technological disruptions that await them.
