Network topology detection system based on enhanced multi‐path detection algorithm
Abstract Traditional multi‐path detection algorithms struggle with low efficiency and accuracy in large‐scale, dynamic network environments, especially under load balancing, leading to false edges and degree dilation. To address this, an improved multi‐path topology system is designed, incorporating record tables, node parsing, an iterative search detection strategy, and timeout management. In experiments within a data center network, the proposed system achieved a detection time of 75.12 ms, with 3216 detection packets, a 20.12% redundant detection rate, and a topology accuracy of 98.12%, outperforming traditional algorithms and other systems. The proposed system also excels in bandwidth resource utilization, stability, and consistency, with detection times primarily between 70 ms and 80 ms. Overall, it significantly enhances detection efficiency and accuracy, improving network topology detection performance and reducing resource waste.
