Credibility of Real Estate Information on Cable TV: Focusing on Major Real Estate Programs
Information and, if not, where the cause is by deeply analyzing the actual broadcast content of domestic cable TV real estate programs and their production process. To this end, the reliability of the real estate program is evaluated and verified through analysis of the contents of the real estate program and in-depth interviews with experts appearing in the real estate program. It is difficult to say that the real estate information provided through the current real estate program has a reliable level, that is, sufficient integrity and expertise. There was no separate verification procedure for the experts who provided the information as well as the information provided. This can prevent the maturity and advancement of the real estate industry as a whole by making experts who can produce high-quality real estate information and professional access to produce high-quality real estate information unnecessary. In the end, broadcasters should plan real estate programs that provide high-quality real estate information with integrity and expertise, and ensure that programs secure sufficient viewing or advertising fees so that there is no difficulty in producing. The government should not try to condemn broadcasters' efforts to provide high-quality information as 'speculation-inducing broadcasting'. Rather, it is necessary to believe that real estate information that can damage consumers can be self-purified only by recommending such attempts. Related industries themselves need their own standards for the production of real estate programs, and the government should actively support the regulations created by the industry to be well established.
