From prejudice to pride: how to prevent medical student relocation
Students from the rural county of Indre were as successful as their peers in their first year of medical school, yet were convinced of the opposite. For the confidence to apply and the community assistance to succeed, students need both reliable information, preferably from undergraduates to whom they feel close, and logistical and moral support. Medical schools can work to build community, in order to attract students and help them succeed in their studies.
