Otimization of economic returns of lettuce plant factories considering reduction of lighting energy consumption
How to optimize the crop yield by regulating the light intensity and other environmental parameters in plant factories is the current hot spot in the field of plant factories, but how to characterize the relationship between the energy consumption of lighting in plant factories and the crop yield to maximize the economic benefits of plant factories has rarely been discussed. In this paper, lettuce plant factory is chosen as the research object, and the optimization model of lettuce plant factory is constructed with the optimal economic return of plant factory as the objective function by portraying the influence of the power of LED lamps in plant factory on the net photosynthetic rate of lettuce and the energy consumption of lighting in plant factory. A leafy vegetable plant factory in the north of China was selected for example analysis, and the results of the study show that although production under non-optimal lettuce growth light conditions will bring crop yield loss, the reduced lighting energy cost is higher, thus improving the economic return of the plant factory as a whole, and making the operation of the plant factory more energy-efficient and economical. This study provides theoretical support for the field of energy management and economic operation of plant factory.
