A quantitative analysis of how computer technologies empower corporate digital transformation

In the present work, the roles that computer technologies play in corporate digital transformation against the backdrop of the digital economy are investigated to provide a theoretical basis and strategic recommendations for enterprises in their digital transformation initiatives. Specifically, the digital transformation effect of enterprises is set as the dependent variable, independent variables include the utilization of computer technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT), and variables like the enterprise size and industry type are controlled to build a multivariate linear regression model, and robustness tests are performed. It is found that the use of AI, big data, and IoT plays a significant role in promoting corporate digital transformation, and cloud computing also plays a part; the enterprise size is found to have a positive correlation with the digital transformation effect, that is, a larger enterprise size leads to better transformation effects; there are significant differences between enterprises in different industries in the transformation effect. Some recommendations are provided accordingly from the perspectives of technological application, resource allocation, and strategic planning to enable more efficient utilization of computer technologies in enterprises, speed up digital transformation, and improve their innovative power and competitiveness to reach sustainable development.
