Digital area: A Study on the Association of Health Information Exposure, Media Dependency and Social Adaptation of Audience
With the rapid development of new media, the way of information dissemination and the way of life of the audience have undergone profound changes. New media provide people with more convenient channels to obtain information, and to a certain extent, they also affect the individual's ability to receive information and social adaptation. This study begins with the relationship between online media use, media dependence and social adaptation, using a large amount of secondary data. It constructed structural equation modeling (SEM) to explore the relationship between factors such as media dependence and health information reception. It was found that audiences would be more inclined to trust health information on social media when they get more health information from the Internet and social media to complete their self-judgment. Therefore, how to correctly deal with the relationship between media use, media dependence and social adaptation has become an important issue that needs to be solved urgently
