The <scp>2S</scp> albumin‐like protein from <scp> <i>Amaranthus</i> </scp> disrupts insect metabolism and triggers antibiosis
Disruption of carbohydrate digestion by AhyAI severely affects insect development. Small size, high stability, and pest specificity make AhyAI a promising candidate for eco-friendly pest control, either in transgenic crops or as part of sprayable formulations. © 2025 Society of Chemical Industry.
