This research aimed to 1) Develop a game-based learning media on cybersecurity titled ""Mission to Retrieve Data and Confront Cyber Threats"", 2) Evaluate the quality of the developed media, 3) Assess the media’s instructional efficiency using the 80/80 criterion, 4) Compare the students’ learning achievement before and after using the media, and 5)Assess users’ satisfaction with the learning media. The sample group consisted of 26 first-year undergraduate students from the Environmental Science and Technology Program, Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, enrolled in the second semester of the 2024 academic year. The participants were selected using simple random sampling. The research instruments included the game-based learning media developed using the RPG Maker MV program, comprising five stages. These stages simulated cybersecurity scenarios in the form of missions to promote decision-making and awareness in dealing with online threats. Additional instruments included a pre-test, post-test, and a learner satisfaction questionnaire. The results showed that the developed media received a good rating for content quality with an average value of 3.92, standard deflection of 0.27 and technical quality with an average value of 4.33, standard deflection of 0.53. Its instructional efficiency (E1/E2) was 81.15/98.85, exceeding the 80/80 standard at a statistically significant level of .05 (t = 7.67). Learner satisfaction was rated at a very high level with an average value of 4.59 ,standard deflection of 0.59, indicating that the developed cybersecurity learning media effectively enhanced learners’ knowledge, skills, and awareness in responding to cyber threats.
