Preface

The 2025 4th International Conference on Smart Energy and Clean Energy Power Generation Technology (SECP 2025), held grandly in Shenyang, China, from May 9 to 11, 2025, marked a significant milestone in advancing global dialogues on sustainable energy transitions. Hosted by the Shenyang Institute of Engineering, this conference brought together researchers, engineers, policymakers, and industry leaders, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration under the theme “Innovative Pathways for Carbon Neutrality and Energy Resilience.” Against the backdrop of escalating climate challenges and the urgent need to achieve dual carbon goals, SECP 2025 served as a dynamic platform for sharing cutting-edge research, debating technological frontiers, and envisioning actionable strategies for a cleaner energy future. The plenary speeches formed the cornerstone of SECP 2025, featuring globally renowned experts who addressed critical challenges across energy domains. Prof. Jianfei Chen (Wuhan University) opened the discourse with a groundbreaking analysis of power electronic equipment in new energy vehicles, highlighting advancements in battery management and grid integration. Meanwhile, Prof. Alexandrov Igor (Russia) and Prof. Manfred Wirsum (Germany) offered contrasting yet complementary perspectives: the former explored nanostructured metallic materials for energy storage, while the latter dissected hydrogen’s viability as a carbon-free energy carrier. Materials science and catalysis emerged as recurring themes, exemplified by Research Fellow Xiaolin Wei’s work on ammonia catalytic combustion and Prof. Changzhi Li’s breakthrough in lignin refining for aromatic chemicals. Notably, Prof. Hairui Yang’s presentation on CFB combustion technology for gasification slag underscored China’s leadership in coal utilization innovations, balancing economic growth with environmental imperatives. Energy Saving and Emission Reduction Technology sparked debates on industrial decarbonization, featuring Prof. Yibao Liu’s insights into nuclear energy’s role in achieving carbon neutrality. Engineering Thermal Physics and Applications focused on optimizing energy conversion systems, with Assoc. Prof. Teregulov Tagir’s algorithm for damping turbine generator magnetic fields drawing significant attention. The Clean Power Generation and Resource Recycling session showcased circular economy solutions, including Assoc. Prof. Zhengmin Kong’s non-intrusive load monitoring for urban grids and Prof. Ruquan Liang’s research on natural gas engine combustion. These sessions not only highlighted technological diversity but also revealed synergies between disciplines. List of Committee Member is available in this PDF.
