Design Theory of Melt-Infused Self-Lubricating Composites
Abstract This paper focuses on the microporous structure of the matrix in melt-infused self-lubricating composites. Based on homogenization theory and finite element analysis methods, a microporous unit cell model is established to simulate and analyze porosity and microporous structures. The main characteristic parameters that describe the structure of the composite materials include porosity, micropore shape, and pore size distribution, all of which influence the mechanical properties and various performance aspects of the materials. Based on the performance requirements of melt-infused self-lubricating composites (such as strength, toughness, and lubrication properties), the effects of structural feature parameters, including porosity, micropore shape, and pore size distribution, on the macroscopic performance of the composites are studied.
