DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF AN RP-HPLC METHOOD FOR THE SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF OFLOXACIN AND SATRANDIAZOLE

A simple, precise, accurate, and rapid Reverse Phase High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (RP-HPLC) method was developed and validated for the simultaneous estimation of Ofloxacin and Satranidazole in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms. The chromatographic separation was carried out using a C18 column with a suitable mobile phase, optimized to achieve good resolution between both drugs with a short retention time. Detection was performed at an appropriate wavelength, ensuring maximum sensitivity. The method was validated according to ICH guidelines for parameters such as linearity, accuracy, precision, robustness, specificity, and system suitability. Both drugs showed excellent linearity within the selected concentration ranges, with correlation coefficients close to unity. The method demonstrated high accuracy with recovery values within acceptable limits and good precision with low %RSD values. The proposed RP-HPLC method is simple, reliable, and suitable for routine quality control analysis of Ofloxacin and Satranidazole in combined dosage forms.
