Virtual Mouse using Python
In recent years, human-computer interaction has evolved with the rise of touchless technologies. This project presents a virtual mouse system developed using Python and computer vision, which enables users to control mouse functions through hand gestures captured by a webcam.By utilizing libraries such as OpenCV and MediaPipe, the system tracks hand landmarks to perform actions like cursor movement, left click, and right click without any physical contact. The goal is to provide an efficient and accessible alternative to conventional input devices, especially useful in hygienic or remote control scenarios. The proposed solution is cost-effective, user-friendly, and adaptable to various computing environments. This project introduces an intelligent interface that enables pointer control through real-time gesture detection.By capturing motion via a built-in camera, the system analyzes finger positions and maps them to display coordinates.
