Study on calculation method of optimal construction period for traffic organization in highway reconstruction and expansion based on genetic algorithm
Traffic organization design is a critical component of highway reconstruction and expansion projects, significantly influencing both construction progress and the smooth operation of traffic. Addressing current issues such as imbalanced construction intensity and uncoordinated traffic maintenance caused by unreasonable scheduling of ideal construction periods, this study abstracts the optimization of traffic organization periods as a target optimization problem. A genetic algorithm is introduced to calculate the ideal construction periods for each construction phase. By analyzing the principles of the genetic algorithm, a calculation model for construction intensity indicators is established. A comprehensive optimization method is proposed, encompassing encoding, fitness calculation, selection, crossover, and mutation based on the genetic algorithm, to achieve a rational allocation of ideal construction periods across traffic maintenance phases. Through the design of multiple sets of case data for experimental verification, the algorithm demonstrates rapid convergence under various data distribution conditions, exhibiting strong stability and applicability. The research results indicate that the ideal construction period optimization method based on the genetic algorithm can effectively enhance the rationality of traffic organization design in reconstruction and expansion projects, providing valuable insights and references for determining maintenance periods in complex projects.
