A Coating with Microstructured Surface for Power Equipment Anti-Condensation
Condensation poses a significant threat to the safety and operational performance of power equipment. In this study, an anti-condensation coating with a microstructure surface was prepared by using fluorosilicone resin and polyester resin as matrix, silica and glass microspheres as fillers, mixed at high speed and cured at room temperature. The coating exhibited an excellent hydrophobicity with a water contact angle of 140° and a surface energy of 9.61 mJ/m2. The dynamic behavior of droplet formation during condensation was observed using stereomicroscopy and metallurgical microscopy. The results indicated that the coating has good anti-condensation properties compared to the other five resins. This study reveals the mechanism of preventing condensation on microstructured surfaces and provides a theoretical basis for the application of anti-condensation coatings.
