De la ingeniería a la innovación financiera: un estudio comparativo entre Brasil y Estados Unidos sobre el papel técnico en el desarrollo de Tech-Fin

This research identifies how engineering-led expertise drives innovation in Tech-Fin startups through the ability to design scalable and effective financial solutions. Based on a comparative analysis involving Brazil and the United States, it contrasts the regulatory environment, founders' backgrounds, and the level of their tech-financial ecosystems. Based on academic studies (Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan) as well as industry expertise, the article identifies how technical expertise delivers a transformative role in defining next-generation financial services. The case study concludes that the founders with a strong base of technical expertise are better equipped to develop robust digital infrastructure as well as navigate the nuances of complex regulatory requirements. These observations indicate how technical expertise not just increases the quality of innovation, but helps the startups develop the strategic capabilities to thrive despite varied economic conditions. By unraveling the combination of engineering as well as finance, the study contributes towards gaining a wider perspective of the factors shaping the evolution of global Tech-Fin ecosystems.
