An Efficient Method for Approximating the Shapley Value for Cost Allocation in Ramping Ancillary Service

With a large number of new energy sources being integrated into the power grid, there is a shortage of flexibility in the power system. As an emerging ancillary service, ramping ancillary service has become an important guarantee for the flexible operation of the power system, and the market construction of ramping ancillary service has been carried out in many places. However, the current method of allocating the ramping cost on the generation side according to the share of electricity is not in line with the principle of fairness. In this paper, the Shapley value is utilized to allocate the cost of system ramping among agents, taking into account the degree of triggering of system ramping by different agents. Meanwhile, considering the complexity of Shapley value calculation, a stratified expected value method is used to simplify the calculation amount. The results show that the ramping cost sharing method proposed in this paper can fairly share the system ramping cost among different agents.
