Prediction of China’s new energy vehicle ownership based on adaptive combination model
New energy vehicles (NEVs), have become more popular around the world as one of the primary demand-side solutions to climate change. China, the nation with the most NEVs worldwide, has consistently implemented a variety of policies in recent years to promote the advancement of NEVs. This study suggests a combined prediction model based on the Bass diffusion model and $\mathbf{G M}(\mathbf{1}, \mathbf{1})$ method in order to get beyond the drawbacks of the conventional single algorithm. The real data of China’s NEV ownership over time is used as an example to compare with the single model in order to confirm the superiority of the suggested model. Additionally, we estimate China’s NEV ownership from 2024 to 2030, which can help provide references for the government and enterprises.
