Assessment of Emerging Adjustable Resource Regulation Potential for Air Conditioning Loads
This paper proposes a multi-timescale assessment methodology for air conditioning load regulation potential. Through literature analysis, benchmark incentive price, ambient temperature and electricity price are identified as the main influencing factors. Short-term and all-day assessment models are constructed, with short-term focus on adjustable capacity at peak moments and all-day focus on operating costs. Simulation in a region of Fujian shows that the potential reaches 379.63 kW at 28° C and ${\$} 0.3 / \mathrm{kWh}$ in the short term, and the all-day tariff adjustment affects resource operation. The study shows that dynamic optimization of incentives and tariff mechanisms can tap the potential of air conditioning loads and support grid supply-demand balance and demand response strategies.
