Scheduling Method of Distributed Energy Storage Considering Flexibility and Economy of Rural Distribution Network
As one of the key solutions to address the shortage of fossil fuels and promote renewable energy integration, distributed generators (DGs) have been widely integrated into rural distribution networks (RDNs). However, the integration of DGs inevitably introduces flexibility challenges such as power flow reversal and voltage violations. In recent years, distributed energy storage (DES) has experienced rapid growth due to its ability to mitigate fluctuations caused by DGs and enhance the economic and operational flexibility of RDNs. To incorporate DES into a unified scheduling framework, this paper proposes a collaborative scheduling method for DES managed by power grid companies, considering both system economy and flexibility. Firstly, a steady-state model of RDN is introduced, which includes a time-series analysis model of DES and power flow constraints. Then, a steady-state mathematical model considering multiple objective functions (e.g., economic efficiency and flexibility) is construct-ed for DES optimization. A fast-solving algorithm based on improved interior point method is further introduced to enhance computational efficiency. Finally, the effectiveness of the pro-posed method is validated through comprehensive analysis on a modified IEEE 33-node test system. The results demonstrate that DES can better enhance the flexibility of the system and effectively alleviate the problem of node voltage, highlighting the practical applicability of the proposed approach.
