Research on Energy Management and Optimal Dispatch Strategy of Island Microgrid Based on Gray Wolf Algorithm
In order to enhance the economic performance of island microgrid operation, the total microgrid operating cost is adopted as the objective function to coordinate and optimize the dispatch of distributed renewable energy. Accordingly, an energy management and optimal dispatch strategy for island microgrids based on the Grey Wolf Optimization Algorithm is proposed. First, an operation optimization model aimed at maximizing economic benefits is established by interconnecting various distributed generation units, including wave, wind, solar, diesel generators, and energy storage systems. Second, due to the model’s high dimensionality, strong nonlinearity, and computational complexity, the Grey Wolf Optimization algorithm is employed to leverage its high search efficiency, rapid convergence, and minimal parameter requirements. In addition, an improved version of the algorithm is introduced to enhance global optimization capability and mitigate premature convergence and local optimality at later stages. Finally, simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively optimizes the island microgrid’s energy scheduling and reduces overall economic costs.
