Research on Marine Thrust Allocation Considering Fuel Efficiency

This paper investigates the Optimal thrust allocation problem in dynamic positioning systems for offshore engineering vessels. Under the premise of meeting ship maneuverability requirements, an operational costs optimization model centered on generator set fuel efficiency is established. By optimally distributing resultant force commands to individual thrusters while dynamically coordinating generator set control, multi-objective optimization of maneuverability and operational costs is achieved. Numerical methods are employed to solve the model, and its effectiveness is verified through comparative analysis. Results demonstrate that the proposed optimization model achieves thrust allocation with minimal operational costs while ensuring maneuverability, significantly improving both ship maneuverability and energy utilization efficiency. Experimental data confirms the model’s high reliability and engineering practicality, providing a novel solution for energysaving optimization in marine dynamic positioning systems.
