Quantitative Identification and Intervention Strategies for Supply-Demand Imbalance of Green Space from an Aging Perspective: A Case Study of Haizhu District, Guangzhou
Urban green space is essential for senior citizens' health aging, however, the contradiction between the tight land resources and the concentrated daily recreational needs of the elderly is becoming increasingly apparent as urbanization picks up speed. Based on the social background of aging, this research, taking Haizhu District of Guangzhou as an example, constructs and applies an objective approach to identify the supply-demand imbalance in green space, and provides intervention recommendations combining both quantitative and qualitative methods for its optimization. The findings indicate that the conflict between low supply and high demand is the main characteristic of Haizhu District's urban green space supply-demand mismatch, and the imbalance area is primarily concentrated in its northwestern part, which should be prioritized for intervention. On this basis, the study proposes further intervention strategies, which provide scientific ideas for the precise regulation of green space layout and the practical realization of supply-demand balance of green spaces from an aging standpoint.
