Research on ecologically livable city construction efficiency based on DEA model

On the basis of the Principal Component Analysis and Data Envelopment Analysis, this paper analyses the ecologically livable city construction efficiency of 36 cities in 2022, including the comprehensive technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency. Result shows that the construction efficiency of 19 cities are DEA-efficient, the majority of western cities are in the efficient frontier. The scale efficiency of 5 cities like Shanghai, Peking, and Nanjing does not reach the optimal efficiency. 12 cities are DEA-inefficient, they have the problems of redundant input and insufficient output, and they have much room to improve the construction efficiency of ecologically livable city.
