Time‐Controlled Dual Targeting to Program Systemic and Intercellular Transfer of Therapeutic Effects (Adv. Funct. Mater. 31/2025)
Intercellular Therapeutic Delivery In article number 2418560 by Seyong Chung, Hak-Joon Sung, and co-workers, aspirin-loaded liposomes are captured by splenic monocytes and handed over to inflamed endothelial cells and platelets via extracellular vesicles. The hand-over is mediated by inflammation-induced caveolin expression. This strategy enables dual therapeutic actions by providing targeted anti-inflammatory delivery and a prolonged antiplatelet effect, establishing a biomimetic nanomedicine platform for intercellular drug transfer with translational potential.
