DEMOGRAPHIC DETERMINANTS OF QUALITY OF LIFE: CHALLENGES FOR UKRAINE
In the context of increasing demographic risks and socio-economic instability, the development of effective mechanisms to support the demographic potential of the country becomes particularly important. The need to prevent the negative consequences of migration processes, declining birth rates, and destabilizing demographic trends highlights the relevance of studying demographic determinants of quality of life. Therefore, the development of scientifically grounded recommendations aimed at improving the demographic situation and enhancing the population’s quality of life is both valuable and timely. The objective of this study is to identify and analyze the impact of demographic determinants on the quality of life, considering contemporary socio-economic challenges and the specific demographic situation in Ukraine. The article examines the influence of demographic determinants on three key components of quality of life. Based on the analysis of these factors—long and healthy life, knowledge, and a decent standard of living—a set of recommendations has been developed to stabilize the demographic situation and improve the quality of life both during and after the war. The proposed recommendations will contribute to the formation of an effective state policy in the field of demographic security and the creation of favorable conditions for recovery and sustainable societal development
