Low-carbon Economic Scheduling of Power System with Flexible Carbon Capture Based on Improved WCVaR
The new power system integrated with a significant amount of renewable energy is a hub platform to realize the “dual carbon” objective, but the renewable energy uncertainty will inevitably bring many problems to the power system, such as difficulty in peak shaving and insufficient flexibility. To effectively balance the cost efficiency and security of the system, firstly, the improved worst conditional value at risk (WCVaR) is introduced to evaluate the risks brought from the renewable energy uncertainty; Secondly, the demand response mechanism is introduced and the thermal unit is transformed with low-carbon flexibility to enahnce the level of renewable energy accommodation and alleviate the excessive carbon emission arising from deep peak shaving of thermal units; Thirdly, the low-carbon and economic power dispatch model is established with the comprehensive optimization of the total operating cost and operating risk value. Finally, the performance of the model is validated by a practical case.
