Electric Power Grid Security Preventive Control Method Considering Fault Transmission Time of Natural Gas Network
With the continuous increase of the proportion of natural gas units, the coupling of the electric power grid and the natural gas network is strengthened. The fault of the natural gas network will affect the secure operation of the electric power grid through the coupling equipment such as gas units. Due to the slow dynamic characteristics of natural gas transmission, there is a time delay between occurrence of the natural gas grid fault and its impacts on the operation of the electric power grid, which provides the control time for the electric power grid. This paper introduces the definition of the available dispatch time and the approximate estimation method to quantitatively describe the shutdown time of the gas unit caused by the natural gas system fault. The electric power grid security preventive control method for the $\mathrm{N}-1$ contingency fault of natural gas network is put forward, and the available dispatch time under any contingency fault is greater than the security control time of the gas unit. The case study proves that the security preventive control can reduce the output of the gas unit and increase the available dispatch time, and realize the secure operation of the electric power grid considering the N 1 contingency fault of the natural gas grid.
