Application of the TRIZ Method in Designing an Efficient and Secure Charging Station for Electric Motorcycles
Abstract The increasing adoption of electric vehicles reflects growing public awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly and sustainable energy. Despite this progress, electric motorcycle users still face significant challenges, particularly the limited availability of charging facilities in workplaces and public spaces. This study aims to address this issue by designing and developing a prototype called Beenergy Hub, a charging station tailored to support electric motorcycle users within the BINUS University campus environment. Utilizing the TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) method, the research systematically analyzes design challenges and identifies innovative solutions for optimizing the charging station’s functionality and user experience. The Beenergy Hub incorporates a unique honeycomb-shaped charging slot design, enabling efficient use of space and scalability. This prototype not only addresses the immediate needs of the campus community but also holds potential as a scalable business opportunity for broader implementation.
