Simulation and Integration of WECS and PVEC Systems Using PCC

Abstract Increased utilization of solar and wind energy in current power networks may result in significant technical issues due to their erratic and intermittent nature. Reducing the unpredictability of solar and wind resources through as efficient integration as feasible can increase the system’s overall reliability and operating efficiency. A method for combining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems with wind energy is presented in this paper. The prime focus of this study is the precise modelling of the turbine at changed wind speeds and PV systems. The mathematical modelling of WECS and PVEC systems and their different characteristics was obtained from different parameters. The results of modelling and analysing a standalone WECS system coupled with a PVEC system using MATLAB/Simulink are shown in the results section.
