REIMPLANTE DE DENTE PERMANENTE APÓS AVULSÃO: RELATO DE CASO

Dental trauma, especially tooth avulsion, represents a significant public health problem, with high prevalence in children and adolescents. This condition is one of the most serious and is considered a dental emergency, requiring immediate reimplantation for a better prognosis. In this sense, the present study aimed to describe a clinical case related to avulsed tooth reimplantation, restoring health and well-being to the person involved. To this end, the methodology included a bibliographic review in the electronic databases: Virtual Health Library (BVS), National Library of Medicine (PUBMED), Google Scholar and Scientific Electronic Library (SciELO), between the years 2020 to 2024. The therapeutic protocol based on the guidelines of the International Association of Dental Traumatology stands out, including immediate management and clinical procedures that preserve the cells of the periodontal ligament, in order to reduce complications in the pulp and root, such as tooth storage, immobilization, antibiotic therapy and radiographic monitoring, resulting in an excellent prognosis. It is concluded that adequate management, especially immediate reimplantation, is crucial for successful treatment, reinforcing the need for professional training and guidance for parents/guardians, aiming to promote oral health and quality of life for patients.
