O IMPACTO DO CONSUMO DE PRÉ-TREINOS COM ENERGÉTICOS
Objective: To evaluate the effects of the combined consumption of pre-workouts and energy drinks on the physical performance, health, and well-being of those who practice physical activities. The objective is to identify the benefits perceived by users when consuming pre-workouts combined with energy drinks during training, in addition to investigating the health risks, particularly cardiovascular health, associated with this combination. We will analyze consumer perceptions of the effectiveness of these products in improving sports performance and examine the relationship between the use of pre-workouts and energy drinks and adherence to healthy sports habits. The study will be a literature review, focusing on the impacts of consuming these products on physical performance and health. Systematic searches will be conducted in relevant databases, such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. We will use keywords such as “pre-workouts,” “energy drinks,” “physical performance,” “cardiovascular health,” “well-being,” and “sports supplement consumption.” Articles from the last five years (2019-2024) with full text in Portuguese, English, and Spanish will be selected. After the search, we will conduct an initial reading of the titles and abstracts to select studies that meet the established criteria. Relevant articles will be analyzed to extract information on the effects of pre-workout and energy drink consumption, perceived benefits, health risks, and user perceptions. The collected data will be organized into tables and graphs within thematic categories aligned with the specific research objectives.
