Mutu Air Sungai melalui Konstruksi Kebijakan dan Kepedulian Masyarakat: Analisis Peran Partisipasi dalam Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Air
This study explores the quality of river water through the construction of policies and community concern, focusing on the role of participation in water resource management. The research examines how community involvement and local policy integration affect the management of Sumberkembang River water quality in Tambakasri Village, Sumbermanjing Wetan, Kabupaten Malang, Indonesia. With increasing urbanization, agricultural practices, and industrial activities, the study identifies untreated industrial waste and domestic activities as significant contributors to river pollution. This research highlights the importance of local policies and active community participation in managing water resources, particularly in rural areas. The study aims to analyze community perceptions of river water quality, investigate the relationship between internal factors (such as age, education, and income) and external factors (including government involvement), and evaluate the level of community participation in pollution mitigation. Data were gathered through questionnaires and interviews with 100 respondents. Findings indicate that education and income are strongly linked to awareness of environmental issues, particularly pollution. Community participation, such as regular clean-up activities and involvement in local governance, is crucial for enhancing environmental stewardship. However, aligning government policies with local practices remains a challenge, which could improve water quality management. This research contributes to the understanding of how policies and community participation can collaboratively address environmental issues, with recommendations for strengthening waste management infrastructure and enhancing local governance to ensure sustainable water resource management.
