ENGAGING IDEAS FOR END-OF-YEAR LANGUAGE LESSONS
It goes without saying that the last weeks of the school year can be incredibly challenging for most teachers. Once grades have been finalised, many students experience a significant decline in motivation. For many educators sustaining engagement, let alone reinforcing language skills, during that time might seem like a daunting challenge. The aim of this article is to present a set of inspiring last-day-of-school activities that language teachers can easily incorporate in their teaching practice. The article also highlights the significance of introducing engaging and stimulating last-lesson activities that not only boost student engagement but also foster linguistic development. Most of the tasks included in the article require little to no additional preparation and can be easily implemented by teachers of various foreign languages.
