An integrated FDM-TRIZ-TOPSIS framework for upper limb exoskeleton design
To address challenges in adaptability and personalized rehabilitation of upper limb exoskeletons, this study proposes an integrated FDM-TRIZ-TOPSIS model to guide the design process. Targeting users with upper limb impairments, expert interview data were collected and analyzed using the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM) to establish a set of 16 evaluation indicators. These indicators were translated into engineering parameters through TRIZ, which also identified relevant technical and physical contradictions and suggested inventive principles for design generation. The TOPSIS method was then applied to evaluate and rank the proposed design options, selecting the optimal solution. A case study demonstrates the model’s effectiveness and provides a reference for future exoskeleton development.
