This paper focuses on junior high school students' English learning anxiety, deeply analyzes its causes and puts forward mitigation strategies. It is found that the causes of students' learning anxiety are diverse, including internal factors such as their own learning ability differences, improper methods, deviation of motivation expectations and personality characteristics, and external factors such as high family expectations, poor education methods, poor learning environment, improper school teaching methods, poor teacher-student relationship, excessive competition pressure, deviation of public opinion guidance and unreasonable examination system. In order to alleviate anxiety, we need to work together. Students should improve their abilities, adjust their motivation expectations and cultivate a positive attitude; Families should adjust expectations, optimize educational methods and create a good environment; Schools need to improve teaching methods, improve the relationship between teachers and students and reduce the pressure of competition; The society should guide correct public opinion and improve the examination system. Through the joint efforts of all parties, it is expected to alleviate students' English learning anxiety and promote their English ability to improve and develop in an all-round way.
