Central core asymmetric acceptor design enables over 20% efficiency in binary organic solar cells by suppressing non-radiative energy loss and optimizing nanomorphology
Two acceptors Ph-2F and Ph-2Cl are designed via core-asymmetric substitution and halogenated engineering. Ph-2F based organic solar cells (OSCs) achieve an efficiency of 20.33%, which is the highest value for OSCs based on asymmetric acceptors.
