Dual‐Functional Layer Engineering Unlocking Dendrite‐Free and High‐Performance Zinc Metal Anodes (Adv. Funct. Mater. 32/2025)
High-Performance Zinc Metal Anodes In article number 2424526, Ye Ding, Liangliang Xu, Lijun Yang, and co-workers report a novel femtosecond laser processing strategy for fabricating periodic micro-nano structures on the zinc anode surface. This cover image vividly depicts the surface oxide layer and the subsurface dislocation layer induced by femtosecond laser, which endows the zinc anodes with fast ion transport, showcasing an effective approach to achieving highly reversible zinc anodes through atomic-scale modifications.
