Bioinspired Durable Mechanical‐Bioelectrical Dual‐Modal Sensors Enabled by Mixed Ion‐Electron Conduction and Mechanical Interlocking for Multifunctional Sensing (Adv. Funct. Mater. 32/2025)

Stretchable Electronics In article number 2501122, Songfang Zhao, Guoqiang Li, Yan Li, Huanyu Cheng, Jong-Hyun Ahn, and co-workers report mechanical-bioelectrical dual-modal stretchable electronics via introducing mixed ion-electron conduction, mechanical interlocking, and lubricating function. Benefiting from the excellent comprehensive performance of the device, several novel applications involving in vivo/vitro monitoring physiological motions, electrophysiological activities, and urinary bladder activities are explored and verified, validating their feasibility for practical purposes.

Abstract

Stretchable Electronics In article number 2501122, Songfang Zhao, Guoqiang Li, Yan Li, Huanyu Cheng, Jong-Hyun Ahn, and co-workers report mechanical-bioelectrical dual-modal stretchable electronics via introducing mixed ion-electron conduction, mechanical interlocking, and lubricating function. Benefiting from the excellent comprehensive performance of the device, several novel applications involving in vivo/vitro monitoring physiological motions, electrophysiological activities, and urinary bladder activities are explored and verified, validating their feasibility for practical purposes.
