ANALYSIS OF EXISTING MODELS OF ENVIRONMENTAL RISK MANAGEMENT IN TESTING LABORATORIES

The object of the study is the existing model of environmental risk management in testing laboratories. One of the most problematic areas is that the existing models of environmental risk management in testing laboratories are an extremely important component of the study, since ensuring environmental safety in laboratory conditions has a direct impact on human health and the state of the environment. Testing laboratories, engaged in research and testing of various materials and chemical compounds, create significant environmental risks associated with the use of harmful substances, the formation of waste and emissions of pollutants. The existing model based on the ISO 14001 standard provides a comprehensive approach to managing the environmental aspects of laboratory activities, aimed at minimizing the negative impact on the environment, compliance with regulatory requirements and increasing environmental efficiency. It is proven that despite its numerous advantages, the existing model has certain limitations and challenges. In particular, it requires constant improvement and adaptation to the specific conditions of laboratory operations, rapid changes in technology and legislation. Insufficient efficiency of identification and assessment of environmental aspects, insufficiently interactive training programs for personnel, as well as weak integration with the overall laboratory development strategy are problematic aspects of the existing system.
