ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF LABOR MIGRATION ON THE COMPETITIVENESS OF NATIONAL BUSINESS

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of labor migration on the competitiveness of national business in Ukraine under current economic, demographic, and geopolitical challenges. The study examines the main factors driving the massive outflow of labor resources and the structural transformations of the labor market, which pose new threats to the entrepreneurial sector — including workforce shortages, increased personnel costs, decreased innovation potential, and declining entrepreneurial activity. The paper analyzes the international experience of Eastern European countries in managing labor migration and outlines the possibilities for adapting the most effective practices to the Ukrainian context. Strategic directions of state policy in the field of labor mobility are identified, particularly the stimulation of investments in human capital development, support for migrant reintegration, the formation of labor reserves, the renewal of the vocational education system, and institutional support for businesses. A set of practical recommendations is presented for enterprises and public authorities to mitigate the negative effects of labor migration and to leverage its positive potential in the context of knowledge transfer, capital flows, and innovation.
