Sensitivity Analysis and Optimal Control of Serial Killing
ABSTRACT This work focuses on eliminating serial killing by utilizing minimum resources. The initial crime transmission rate is examined using a mathematical model. We perform sensitivity analysis of the reproduction number to find the most active parameters regarding the transmission of crime. These active parameters are intervened using suitable control variables. The objective function is designed to control the crime‐addicted classes at a minimum cost. To minimize the objective functional, Lagrangian and Hamiltonian are used. To check the validity of the results, numerical simulations through MATLAB are performed.
