Regioselective one-step C2–H methylation of free ( <i>N</i> –H) indoles enabled by Pd( <scp>ii</scp> )/norbornene cooperative catalysis
C2-methylated indoles are vital but synthetically challenging. The Pd( ii )/NBE-catalyzed method enables one-step C2–H methylation, avoiding multi-step routes. Features high yields, scalability, and drug applicability.
