Three Dimensional Leakage Magnetic Field Analysis of Zero Sequence Filter Based on ANSYS
The zero-sequence filter is a power system filtering device that combines a zigzag phase-shifting reactor with a zero-sequence suppressor. During operation or under short-circuit conditions, significant leakage magnetic fields are generated within the zero-sequence filter, which influence the distribution of its temperature and electromagnetic force fields, potentially leading to increased losses and structural damage. This study focuses on the leakage magnetic field within the zero-sequence filter, employing a three-dimensional finite element method(3D FEM) via ANSYS software for detailed analysis. By constructing a three-dimensional model and performing simulation-based solutions, the leakage magnetic field and energy field distributions between the core and windings, as well as between the inner and outer windings, are derived under operational conditions. The zero-sequence leakage reactance is calculated, providing a novel approach to enhance filtering performance and achieve optimized design of the zero-sequence filter.
