IoT-Based Lithium-Ion Battery Monitoring System in EV
The performance and lifespan of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles (EVs) depend on effective monitoring and safety measures. Key concerns include maintaining optimal temperature, accurately estimating the State of Charge (SoC), and detecting faults early to prevent potential hazards. This study presents an IoT-enabled battery monitoring system that utilizes sensors to continuously track temperature, voltage, current, and charge-discharge cycles. A microcontroller processes the collected data, while an IoT communication module enables remote monitoring and instant alerts. Additionally, a liquid cooling system is incorporated to enhance thermal management. The proposed system is designed to improve battery efficiency, ensure operational safety, and extend the overall battery life.
