Generation of Full-Space Dual-Band Multipolarized Beams with Holographic-Reflective Metasurface
In this paper, a holographic-reflective metasurface (MTS) which can modulate different beams independently in the full-space is proposed. At 18.3GHz, spin decoupling technology is used to generate left-circularly polarized (LHCP) and right-circularly polarized (RHCP) OAM beams with gain of 19.92 and 19.94dBi, aperture efficiency is 13.68%, and mode purity of 84.7% and 81.9% respectively. At 7.8GHz, a linearly polarized (LP) pencil beam is generated by holographic modulation technology with gain of 16.8dBi and aperture efficiency is 18.08%. This means the metasurface can act as a holographic metasurface to manipulate surface waves (SW) at low frequency and a reflective metasurface to manipulate spatially propagating waves (SPW) at high frequency. The metasurface realizes multi-polarization, multi-mode, multi-beam, full-space, and has potential application value in high-capacity communication and efficient wireless transmission.
