Millimeter Wave MIMO Antenna with 3D Decoupling Structure

This work presents a two-port millimeter wave MIMO antenna with a rectangular shaped 3D decoupling structure for improving isolation level between ports. The antenna is designed on Rogers RT Duroid 5880 substrate of thickness 0.8 mm. It has been shown in this work that the use of 3D decoupling structure not only improves the isolation level between antenna ports but also improves the gain and reflection coefficient performance of proposed MIMO antenna.

Abstract

This work presents a two-port millimeter wave MIMO antenna with a rectangular shaped 3D decoupling structure for improving isolation level between ports. The antenna is designed on Rogers RT Duroid 5880 substrate of thickness 0.8 mm. It has been shown in this work that the use of 3D decoupling structure not only improves the isolation level between antenna ports but also improves the gain and reflection coefficient performance of proposed MIMO antenna.
