Enhancing Distribution system resilience using distributed generation
Enhancement of resilience of a distribution network is achieved through a two-stage approach in this study. In order to reduce losses and enhance voltage profiles, pre-event optimal distribution of distributed generators (DGs) use hybrid Particle swarm optimization and Grey-wolf optimization to distribute solar, wind, and conventional DGs. Post-event restoration prioritizes recovery while mitigating fault uncertainties and renewable DG by employing the Progressive Hedging Algorithm to sequentially restore critical loads following HILP incidents using a Stochastic non-linear program (SNP). The IEEE 69-bus and IEEE 33-bus systems are used to test the suggested framework in order to show enhanced network resilience with a better load served ratio.
