Dynamic Secure Access and Resource Optimization Scheme for Massive Devices in New Power Systems

In order to realize massive device secure access to the new power system, with the lower computational communication pressure of server, this paper proposes a secure access scheme based on Physical Unclonable Function (PUF). By utilizing the characteristics of PUF, such as unclonability and tamper resistance, a gateway is used to share the server's identity authentication task for devices. Before access, devices are dynamically clustered into two different levels of threat and resource constraints based on their transmission power and data size, and then two authentication schemes are used respectively. Especially the corresponding steps and calculations of identity authentication are optimized in a targeted manner, with dynamically optimizing the allocation of communication and storage resources, so as to maximize resource utilization while ensuring secure access. Through security analysis and comparison with other literature, the proposed authentication method designed in this paper ensures security while incurring lower computational, storage, and communication costs, making it suitable for secure access of massive lightweight devices.
